Programming

Centra Cam has been supporting individuals with Developmental Disabilities since 1979. We offer programs in Employment Preparation, on the job site support through our Employment Placement Program and Community Access.

  • All individuals supported by Centra Cam are funded through PDD. Applications for PDD Services can be accessed online through MyAlbertaSupports.ca.

  • If you are currently PDD eligible you can reach out to your PDD Caseworker regarding services.

Employment Services

We offer individuals training through job readiness and skill development. We have over 30 amazing employers within our community and we are continually exploring new opportunities!


Personal Development

  • Basic computer skills and internet safety

  • Academic skill training or maintenance

  • Healthy living skill building: nutrition education, physical activity

  • Life Skills Training: food preparation training, food safety training, janitorial work, money skills, safety training, learner’s permit

  • Client development sessions: healthy relationships, train safety, public speaking, on-site job coaching,  etc.

  • Workability Theme Activities: time management, communication, honesty, Dress for Success, Internet Safety, etc.

  • Interest Inventories

  • Pre-Employment Training and Resume Building activities: volunteer work, fundraisers community involvement and small group training

Community Access offers opportunities for individuals to be active community members through volunteering and accessing events and facilities in the City of Camrose. We encourage individuals to become active in our community through:

  • Physical activities—walking the trails/parks, swimming, biking, exercise classes

  • Social activities—games, dances, community events, volunteering

​​

  • Personal development—art classes, musical activities, use of technology, sensory activities, cooking, tours, etc.
